Praise for charity summer league

THE North Lurgan Summer League has been highly praised for its charity work.

Sinn Fein Councillor Liam Mackle commended the league which works annually for a different charity, this year supporting Royal Hospital for Sick Children and the Lurgan Lourdes fund

“This is a fantastic league which is organised every summer and raises lots of money for good causes. As a former player in the league I can personally testify to the terrific amount of work put in every year by the chief organiser Kevin Mc Laughlin and he has to be commended for his effort and commitment.

“This is a really good event which as well as raising funds for charity provides North Lurgan with sporting entertainment. Every year large crowds enjoy the spectacle of local teams playing against each other on summer evenings and anyone interested in entering a team or needing further details should contact Kevin Mc Laughlin on 02838323006.”
