Portadown man caught with cannabis

Martin Kelly, Farra Road, Portadown, was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on the Lough Road, Lurgan, and there was a strong smell of cannabis in the vehicle.

Kelly handed over a small bag of cannabis which he said he had bought for £15. He had a previous caution for a similar offence.

Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said it was quite a small amount of cannabis and his client had a limited record.
