Police investigating '˜appalling crime' at local school
At around 1:30am on Wednesday, April 11 a window was broken to gain entry and a number of items were taken from a classroom.
Inspector Robinson said: “It is an appalling crime when schools, which carry out the very important function of educating our youth, are targeted by criminals and valuable resources are stolen.

Commenting on the incident, Alliance Party Councillor Amanda Grehan said: “I condemn in the strongest possible terms whoever was behind the burglary and damage caused at Knockmore Primary School.
“School budgets are already under severe pressure and damage and theft will only cause greater financial problems. Schools, such as Knockmore, provide an essential start to the education of our children. They should be valued and protected, not violated and damaged.
“I would urge anyone with information about this crime to report it to the police.”
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact investigating officers on the non-emergency number 101 quoting CC177 of 11/04/2018.
