Last Wednesday detectives and uniformed officers showed motorists pictures of 32-year-old Jonathan who was seen last in the area on April 2.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Jonathan’s car has been found at the Royal Court Hotel, Portrush, but it is unclear whether Jonathan drove the car himself to the location. Jonathan may be in the Portrush area, but police have also received sightings of him in Belfast.”

He is described as being approximately 5ft 9ins and stocky with very short or shaved dark hair.

He has tattoos on both arms.

When last seen he was wearing a navy hooded top, dark blue tracksuit bottoms and black and white Nike Air Max trainers.

Jonathan, or anyone who knows of his whereabouts, is asked to contact their local police station immediately on the new non-emergency number 101.
