Bobby Robinson is hoping to smash his target of £500 with the venture, sponsored by Perfections Beauty Clinic in the town.

"I chose Macmillan Cancer Support as they are close to my heart; they help others in times of need as well as giving advice," said Bobby.

"The biggest part that grabbed my attention was that 98 percent of their funding is through people like me, for example a coffee morning or 'brave the shave'. Just playing a small part in a huge organisation gives me something to look forward to."

So far, the 39-year-old isn't feeling too anxious about the full-body feat. "But I would say as it comes closer to wax day, October 30, the nerves might kick in."

Macmillan's services are run entirely on donations and the charity does not receive any government funding.
