The aim is to develop a plan that will be used to shape future public investment in the towns, focusing on a vision of how they can evolve and thrive, and develop their role in the daily lives of our residents, businesses and visitors.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor, Peter Johnston said: “As with the previous public consultation which took place in Carrickfergus, our process recognises the importance of the opinions of people who live in Ballymena and Larne and the surrounding areas, in addition to visitors and the important views from businesses based in our area or wanting to relocate.

“Council along with DfC have commissioned Venture International Ltd and the Paul Hogarth Company Ltd to work with the team to develop proposals for residents, businesses and other stakeholders to give their views. We believe that the opinions of our citizens should be central to the decisions we make on investment, therefore I would encourage you to avail of the opportunity to have your say in shaping the future of both Ballymena and Larne town centres.”
