Pair in court on drugs charges

Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have charged two men with a number of drugs offences.

The charges are in connection with the seizure of £100k worth of Class A, Class B and Class C controlled drugs following searches in Coleraine and Belfast on Wednesday 26 August.

A 25 year old man has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A controlled drug, possessing class A controlled drug with intent to supply, possessing class B controlled drug with intent to supply, possessing class C controlled drug with intent to supply, possessing criminal property, possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class C controlled drug.

A 32 year old man has been charged with conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug, possessing class A controlled drug with intent to supply, possession of a class A controlled drug and transferring criminal property.

They are both expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court later this morning, (Friday 28 August).

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
