SIR, -- Could I say a big ‘thank-you’ to Stewart Davidson for his memories of Ballymoney Street.

I shall keep the letter and look over it now and then. (I like the bit about daddy playing his banjo in the sitting room with the window open).

I did’t recognise Robert Giffen Johnston - suddenly I remembered him. We called him oul R.G and I was afraid of him.

Yes, Stewart!, Ballymoney Street had services for everyone - even a forge and a school.

Let’s not the forget the barrel of fresh herrings on certain days.
