Ballymoney Independent Christian School is a Primary School tucked away beside the Hebron Free Presbyterian Church on Market Street.
It is open to all parents who have an interest in the spiritual as well as the academic, personal and social development of their child and children are taught in the care of Christian teachers in a loving, safe and stimulating environment.
We offer a high standard of education. The curriculum is founded upon God’s Word using the National Curriculum as a framework. Pupils are instructed in all the regular school subjects like Maths, English, Geography, Science etc. as well as French, Music, I.C.T, Scripture and swimming lessons from P.3. Beyond the classroom, children enjoy educational trips, singing in the school choir, inter-school events and much more! Most of our P.7. pupils sit the Common Entrance Exams, and to date, all have been accepted into the grammar schools of their choice. We were delighted that last year one of our pupils achieved the joint best AQE result in Northern Ireland!
Our school is inspected regularly by the Education and Training Inspectorate as are all schools in Northern Ireland, and we were delighted with our most recent Inspection Report back in September 2013 which is available to read at www.etini.gov.uk.
We also have a Pre-School here at B.I.C.S called ‘Sunbeams’ for children aged 3. It runs from Mon-Wed, 9-11am and offers invaluable play time as well as some formal work under the supervision of trained personnel.
If you would like to find out more about our school or Sunbeams, we will be having an Open Day on Friday, 13th February. The school will be open from 12–3pm and 5-8pm. Call in and have a chat to staff – you will be made most welcome! You can also contact us on 02827663402.
