Deaths in the community

The death took place on June 26 of Vincent McCaffrey, husband of Rosemary, 15 Hallsmill Green, Laurencetown.

His funeral was last Thursday to St Therese Church, Scarva Road, Banbridge, followed by interment in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Dromore Road.

John Doyle

John Doyle, husband of Clare, 36 Downshire Avenue, Taghnevan, died peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on June 26.

He was the father of Sean, Deirdre, Jim, Olga, Martin, Sheila, Clare, Paul, Paula, Colum and the late Marget.

His funeral was on Thursday to St Paul’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Margaret McGahan

The death took place peacefully at home on June 27 of Margaret (Mairead) McGahan, mother of Michelle and Courtney and the late Damien, 605 Clonmeen, Craigavon.

She was the partner of Liam, daughter of Roisin and the late Patrick McGahan, and sister of Paul, Tracy, Maryalice, Anthony and the late Joseph.

Her funeral was on Friday to St Anthony’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Bernard Burns

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on June 28 of Bernard (Brian) Burns, 503 Pinebank, Craigavon.

He was the husband of Peggy, father of Adrian, Dermot, Brian, Mary and Maurice, father-in-law of Kathryn and grandfather of Hannah.

He was the brother of Madge and Syl and the late Eileen and Lena.

His funeral was on Saturday to St Anthony’s Church followed by interment in St John’s Cemetery, Lylo.

Kevin Nelson

Kevin Nelson, of 111 Drumgor Heights, Craigavon, died suddenly on June 28.

He was the husband of Erin, father of Cillian and stepfather of Chloe.

He was the son of Patrick and Joan Nelson and brother of Connor, Andrew, Noeleen and Bronagh.

His funeral was on Saturday to St Anthony’s Church followed by interment in St John’s Cemetery, Lylo.

John Swail

The death took place peacefully at Laganvale Nursing home of John Swail, 17 Backwood Road, Moira.

He was the husband of the late Kay and father of Malachy (Newcastle), Kathleen Mulholland (Newtownhamilton), Colette (Toomebridge) and Mary (Moira).

His funeral service was on Sunday in St Patrick’s Church, Magheralin, on Sunday followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

William James Fulton

William James (Willy) Fulton died peacefully at his home, 14 Copperfields, Gilford, on June 30.

He was the husband of Patsy and father of Heather and Valerie.

His funeral service in All Saints Parish Church, Tullylish, was on Tuesday with interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Mark Stephen Findon

The death took place suddenly on July 1 of Mark Stephen Findon, son of Theresa and the late Dermot, formerly of Cherrytree Walk, Lurgan.

He was the brother of Angela, Mary, David, Ann, Joan, John, Shelagh and Fiona and fiance of Angela.

His funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter’s followed by interment in St Colman‘s Cemetery.

Alice Walsh

The death took place peacefully on July 1 at Craigavon Area Hospital of Alice Walsh, 8 Derryloiste Road, Derrytrasna.

She was the sister of Brendan and Bernadette and the late Eileen, Teresa and Agnes.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Mary’s Church, Derrytrasna followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
