THE PSNI told the Times there was “nothing untoward” after a suspicious object, which appeared to look like a ‘pipe bomb’, was found at a property in the Coleraine Road area of Ballymoney this morning (Friday October 11).

Police received a report before 9am and the area was sealed off for a short time.

An army bomb disposal squad had been called in.

A police source said it was understood the object may have been there for some time and was not deliberately placed to create a hoax.
