Roads Service has refused to put provide a new footway to the GAA field, Ballyveeley Road, Cloughmills.
Roads Service confirmed: ‘A scheme to provide a footway at this location remains on a very long list of similar proposals that are competing for inclusion in a future works programme.
‘Due to the limited budget available for Minor Works it has not been possible to include this and many other schemes in a works programme so far. This scheme, along with all the others on our list, will be kept under review for future prioritisation.’
The issue was raised during a recent Ballymoney Council meeting following a query from Cllr Cathal McLaughlin.
