No place for destructive and senseless anti-community behaviour - Archibald
Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald has said there is no place for destructive and senseless anti-community behaviour.
Speaking on disruption in the Ballysally area of Coleraine caused by burning road blockages, the East Derry MLA said she had been in contact with police during the course of Friday night “regarding the anti-community behaviour in the Ballysally area of Coleraine.”
She added: “There is no place for this destructive and senseless behaviour. Those involved should desist and leave the community in peace.
“It is also deeply concerning to see these types of incidents in the middle of the pandemic, as we are beginning to make good progress.
“This is a time for calm heads and responsible leadership.
“I appeal to political unionism and leaders on the ground to show leadership to de-escalate tensions and bring this disruption to an end.”
