Mount Druid Fair – another charity success story

THE annual Mount Druid Vintage Rally held at Ballintoy has, yet again, proved an outstanding success.

The organisers felt the live music provided by Michael Kennedy, Sam O’Neill and Alistair Coyles as well as the Steel band provided a lovely atmosphere for people to browse the many stalls, view the vintage machinery or watch the dancing, threshing and other demonstrations.

The alpacas, goats, sheep, chickens, etc., were a huge attraction for all the family. The cavalcade is always a popular attraction as the vehicles leave the field and this year the parade was led by Rev. Patrick Barton through the village.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated money, prizes, brought vehicles, directed traffic, parked cars and manned the various stalls.

The proceeds go towards the Rectory fund for Ballintoy and Dunseverick parishes.
