Mid Ulster women who’ve recently had a baby could help improve maternity services

The survey, which will be posted to everyone who has recently had a baby, will operate right up until June and everything disclosed will be completely in confidence.

The questionnaire is known as the ‘Northern Ireland Survey of Women’s Experience of Maternity Care’.

“The women will be asked to fill out the survey, in confidence, and express their views on their experiences of pregnancy, childbirth and maternity care,” said a spokesperson for the university.

“It is hoped the survey will help give the researchers a better understanding of what maternity services are working well and where services could be enhanced.

“The overall findings of the study will be made available to help plan and improve maternity services in Northern Ireland.”

WHEN: The survey starts in January 2015 and will run until June 2015.
