Glens SDLP councillor Margaret Anne McKillop says she is “delighted that her proposal for a toilet in Cottage Wood has moved another step forward” with a tender being approved at last Monday nights’ Moyle council meeting.

“The toilet will hopefully be installed by October this year,” she said.

“The Cottage Wood site is one of the gems of the village which is used by locals and tourists alike for the park and the walks, however the one thing missing is toilet facilities and this would be a great asset to the site.

“It is just unfortunate that the facilities will not be in place before this year’s festival especially for the Lark in the Park which is attended by huge number of children and parents.

“It would have been great if all the facilities needed were available as it is often very difficult to keep children in one place unless a number of toilets are available,” she concluded.
