North Antrim Sinn Féin MLA Daithí McKay has welcomed the commencement of work on the Dunminning Road between Dunloy and Glarryford.
Mr McKay had requested that work be carried out to address the flooding problems that there has been at this part of the road next to the Killagan crossroads
He said: “Many local people that drive the road between Dunloy and Glarryford will be familiar with the problem there has been here in the past here with excess water and flooding.
“I requested that Roads Service carry out works here and I was pleased with their swift response to this. 170m of pipe is being laid and a number of gullies are being installed to address the flooding problem here.
“This will help protect property from flooding and should also make this road safer by reducing the possibility of significant excess water lying on the road.”
