Masked gang beat man with baseball bats

A masked gang have beaten a man with baseball bats in Cullybackey.

Police in Ballymena are investigating the assault which is reported to have taken place at Markstown Grove in Cullybackey on the evening of Thursday, October 15.

It was reported that a man in his 20s was attacked by a number of males wearing balaclavas and carrying baseball bats at around 11pm. He suffered injuries to both hands, his head and body and is currently being treated in hospital.

Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley is appealing for information and would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact police in Ballymena on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
