Magherafelt leisure centre staff to get pay rise

All full and part time employees at Greenvale Leisure Centre, which is operated by Pulse on behalf of Mid Ulster District Council, will be receiving a pay rise as Pulse introduce Northern Ireland’s living wage.

About 40 staff will be benefitting from the increase, which will see wages rise as of 1st September 2015. Pulse will be paying all staff £7.65 p/hr.

“Introducing the living wage is not only the right thing to do for our staff, but it also makes good business sense,” says Pulse Director of Operations for Northern Ireland, Robert Buckley. “This is a long-term investment in our people. We have been operating facilities for 35 years and we know that providing enhanced employment packages and better working conditions means a happier team. In turn we have seen that a happier team creates a better customer experience.”
