Local family in Tesco Cook-Off final

The final will take place this Saturday, September 1, at the James Street South Cookery School in Belfast.

Liza Ackerman and her family from Mountsandel are planning to use locally sourced produce in their dish.

Liza, husband Braam and sons Cian (7) and Reuben (8) who are originally from South Africa, are planning to recreate some South African family favourites with a Northern Ireland twist.

While Liza and Braam produce a lamb curry main course, the boys will be mixing up a strawberry dessert.

The winners will take home £1000 in Tesco Gift Cards and 5,000 Tesco for Schools and Clubs vouchers.
