The police in Moyle have released the latest information on these incidents:

Police arrested two men on a string of suspected offences after a car was stopped in the early hours of Monday 16 February.

The men, aged 18 and 23 were arrested on the Dunluce Road, Bushmills.

The 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, no driving licence, no insurance, driving while unsupervised, dangerous driving with intent to cause GBI, driving while unfit through drugs, possession of class B drugs and possession of class B with intent to supply. The 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs and possession with intent to supply.

A large quantity of suspected cannabis was recovered at the scene of the arrests. Officers then made two follow up searches in the Heronshaw area.

At one address a quantity of cannabis resin, tablets and drugs related equipment was seized. A quantity of tablets was seized from the other address.

Both men were remanded in custody following a court appearance on Tuesday 17 February.


Police are investigating the report of an assault on Castle Street, Ballycastle at around 2am on Sunday morning, 15 February.

A man received hospital treatment for injuries to his nose as a result of the incident.


Police arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of attempted criminal damage and common assault following a report of an assault at Main Street Bushmills at around 5pm on Monday 16 February.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.


Detectives are investigating a burglary at a house in the Warren Park area of Glenariffe on Thursday 19 February. The house was ransacked and a sum of money is thought to have been taken.


Police arrested a 40 year old man in Cookstown on suspicion of burglary and threats to kill following an incident in The Abbey area of Ballycastle on Sunday 22 February. The man was further arrested on suspicion of class A drugs at the time of his arrest. He has been charged to North Antrim Magistrates Court on 16 March.


Police are investigating reports of an assault of a woman on Castle Street, Ballycastle, in the early hours of Sunday 22 February. Enquiries into the matter are continuing.


Police received a report that the living room window of a house in the Mayo Drive area of Ballycastle was smashed in the early hours of Monday 23 February. The householder is unaware of who caused the damage and the matter is being investigated by officers at present.
