Knife found after Main Street assault

POLICE are trying to establish if a kitchen-type knife found in the area of Main Street iin Ballymoney was connected to an incident in which a youth required hospital treatment for a facial injury.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with assault occasioning actual bodily harm after the incident at 10pm on Friday.

He was given bail to return to a Police Station on June 11.

Police believe several youths in their mid-teens were involved in the incident and they believe several others people were in the area and they would like to speak to them.
