“Investigations are at an early stage to determine the cause of this fire.”
The TUV’s South Antrim representative Richard Cairns has condemned the incident and said there was “no justification” for the attack.
“My thoughts are immediately with the family who have been subjected to this horrendous criminal behaviour – to be woken up to discover your car has been set alight must be a harrowing experience,” Mr Cairns said.

“The family themselves are already grieving for the passing of a grandfather, with the father out of the country for the funeral. This act makes a horrible event even worse.
“I would encourage anyone with information to contact the PSNI and help get these criminal elements off our streets.”
