HMRC sought Sparfirm winding up

The taxman has applied to the High Court in Belfast to have Waterside-based shopkeeping company Lynch Retailers Limited wound up.

Commissioners of Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, applied for the winding-up of the company, which operates the Spar outlet on Spencer Road, during the summer.

According to a notice, which has been published in the Belfast Gazette: “A petition to wind up the above-named company of 24-26 Spencer Road, Londonderry, BT47 6AA presented on July 7, 2014...will be heard at The Royal Courts of Justice, Chichester Street, Belfast, BT1 3JE, on Thursday, September 11, 2014.”

HMRC claimed to be a creditor of the company.
