THE former Editor of the Ballymoney and Moyle Times has been honoured by Moyle District council.
Lyle McMullan who stepped down as Editor last August was one of 15 recipients to receive plaques at a function in Sheskburn last week.
The awards were presented by the chair of Moyle, Cllr. Sandra Hunter who said they were in recognition of the contribution made by individuals, voluntary groups and others to life in Moyle.
Mr McMullan said he was delighted that Moyle Council had acknowledged the fact that the Times had provided a valuable platform for the council in the promotion of all aspects of its functions to the community.
“The Times is in the company of some notable people who have made their mark in the community and it is an honour to have been selected,” he said.
