Grateful Caroline goes totally over the top for ‘Headway’

A LOCAL woman who spent months recovering from an accident which left her in a coma has completed a charity abseil for Headway at Victoria Square with her family proudly watching.

42 year old Caroline Patterson is lucky to be alive after a cycling accident in Septemeber 2010 resulted in a head injury, broken collar bone and broken ribs.

While some may have been hesitant to get back on a bike Caroline was determined to let nothing stop her and is out on her bike cycling away.

Caroline said: “I have raised just over £200 pounds and my son’s school, Academy Primary in Saintfield were doing a non uniform day on Valentines Day with the money is going to Headway Belfast. It’s for a very good cause and they support survivors of brain injury their families and give therapy and counselling.”
