St Olcan’s Primary School in Armoy bid a sad farewell to Avril McNamee, who retired as school secretary before Christmas after working at the school for eight years.
Principal Mrs Lewis and staff paid tribute to Avril’s dedication to the school and her efficiency, friendliness and discretion.
Avril was very popular with the children, staff and parents and she will be greatly missed at the school.
Fr. Nellis, Chairperson of the Board of Governors, added his thanks to Avril during her retirement presentation ceremony , which took place in the school on Thursday 19th December.
The presentation was made to Avril on behalf of the school by Riana McBride and Charlie Douthart.
The whole school community wished Avril good luck on her retirement in her new home.
