Glittering night at Cullybackey WI

PRESIDENT of Cullybackey WI, Betty Kyle, welcomed members to their latest meeting on October 4 in R.P. Church Hall in the village.

After business, she introduced Richard Lunn of Sterling Jewellery as guest speaker.

He brought along a large selection of beautiful silver jewellery for members to see and told them how he got involved some 13 years ago in taking his jewellery to events around the country to raise money for charity.

Ann Jamieson gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the president and members and Richard then judged the monthly competition for ‘a piece of antique jewellery’ which resulted in Joan Mercer in first place with Helen Craig second and Myrna Douglas & Mary Cruikishank, joint third.

Birthday girl for October was Ruth Orr and Ann Jamieson was presented with the vice-president’s Rose Bowl by president, Betty Kyle.
