Glebeside’s super stitchers help Tiny Life

They are pretty nifty knitters in Glebeside!

For the Glebeside Community Knitting Group have donated a huge bundle of knitted and crocheted items to Brian McCluskey from Tiny Life.

Tiny Life is the chosen charity for the Glebeside Knitting Group this year.

The huge donation of blankets, hats, cardigans and bootees is the second donation made by the Knitting Group this year.

Run by Sandra Logan and Elaine Commor, the Glebeside Community Knitting Group would like to thank Glebeside Community House for the use of their premises and for obtaining a small grant to help with the cost of running the group.

The Knitting Group meets on Mondays from 10am - 12 noon and from 7 pm - 9pm and then again on Thursdays from 7 - 9pm.

Drop in for a cuppa and a chat and the opportunity to learn some new knitting and crochet patterns.

TinyLife (Formerly NIMBA) is Northern Ireland’s premature and vulnerable baby charity, dedicated to reducing premature birth, illness, disability and death in babies born here.

Thanks to donations like those from the ladies at Glebeside, they have helped support premature and ill babies and their parents since 1988. Almost 1800 babies spent time in the Neonatal units last year in Northern Ireland. TinyLife is committed to providing a range of support services that meet the growing needs of families of premature and ill babies in Northern Ireland. TinyLife continues to support vital research to ensure that every pregnancy has the best chance of a healthy outcome.
