Are you taking part in or thinking of registering for the Run Mucker Run 5k or 10k on Saturday, September 24 in Ballymoney? Local charity Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) is asking current or potential participants to get ‘mucky’ and fundraise in aid of this vital cause.
This course is not for the faint hearted with 25 obstacles including; monkey bars, climbing wall, mud hole, ice bath and much much more! If your up to the challenge and have yet to register you can at www.runmuckerrun.co.uk.
Whether you’re an experienced runner or taking part for the fun of it, MRF would love to have your support at this exciting event! Sponsorship raised from your participation will help the work of the charity as it fights against meningitis and septicaemia and works to safeguard adults and children from unnecessary death and disability.
Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or seriously disable within hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected and the diseases can strike at any time. MRF estimate that meningitis and septicaemia affect around 3,400 people in the UK and Ireland each year. With your help, MRF can continue to invest in cutting-edge research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those who have been affected.
