The Ballycastle Library Knit and Natter club have been putting their needles together in support of the Barnardo’s NI Knit for Barney campaign.
The group who meet every Thursday evening have enthused knitters from across the town to help create a range of unique jumpers for Barney.
The Barneys and their individually created jumpers, with each knitter’s name attached, will be raffled later in the year to raise funds for Barnardo’s vital work with less-advantaged and vulnerable children across Northern Ireland.
The patterns, which were specially developed for Barney by the knitters at Ballyhackamore Library, are available in local libraries and online at www.yourhealthinmind.org.
All you have to do is supply the wool, your time and creativity - kites, spots, stars and stripes – let your imagination take flight!
You can find a number Once your jumper is created please bring it to your local library and don’t forget to include your first name and where you are from.
