St. Anne’s Primary School, Corkey were delighted to host a reception for Aogan O’Farrell the President of the GAA ahead of the All Ireland Feile na nGael in June.
This year’s All Ireland Feile na nGael will be hosted in Ulster and the visit was part of the build up.
The pupils and staff of St. Anne’s Primary School, Corkey were also delighted to be able to welcomed the boys and girls from St Patrick’s Primary School, Loughgiel along with the teachers and pupils from St Brigid’s Primary School, Cloughmills.
GAA President Aogan OL’Farrell was accompanied on his visit to the school by Michael Skelly the National Chair of the Feile na nGael committee and Michael Hasson and Kevin Kelly from the Ulster Council.
Joining the prestigious guest to St. Anne’s were the Executive Commitee and Members of Loughgiel Shamrocks GAC, Dominic ‘Woody’ McKinley and Parish Priest Fr Butler.
It was a great honour for the children to meet Aogan O’Farrell and be able to tell him and the other members of the visiting party about the success of the school’s hurling team.
