Fun day and vintage rally looms

Larchfield Community Development Association is gearing up for its Family Fun Day, Vintage Vehicle and Classic Car Rally and Road Run on Saturday, September 13, 11am – 6pm.

Annahilt Parish Church Rector, the Rev Canon Robert Howard, will conduct the opening ceremony of the event at 136 Windmill Road, Annahilt, Hillsborough.

Children’s activities will include magician, balloon-modelling, face-painting, duck-fishing, cup-cake decoration and child-friendly tractors. Other activities will include a radio-controlled model aircraft display, motorcycle daring skills, rare breeds animals , the Erinmore School of Irish dancing, steam engine, threshing and baling demonstration, and exhibition celebrating 10 years of

Larchfield Community Development Association and lots more.

Stalls will include children’s magic tricks and puzzles; ladies’ accessories; knitwear; home-baking and ice-cream.

Refreshments will be served throughout the day and music will be supplied by Trevor Dixon.

The event’s charity partner this year is the Mourne Mountain Rescue Team.

Vehicle Registration takes place from 9.30am - cost £10, to include lunch and commemorative plate.

Admission for the general public costs £5 for adults, with under-18s free.
