TOURISM Minister Arlene Foster has congratulated Old Bushmills Distillery on achieving the first four-star status by a Visitor Attraction under a new Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) grading scheme.
To achieve a star-rating, attractions are subject to checks from a mystery visitor after which a written assessment offers advice on maximising customer satisfaction.
Arlene Foster said: “I want to applaud Old Bushmills Distillery for their continued commitment to excellence. They have set the bar high in terms of quality, customer service and the visitor experience they are delivering.”
Gordon Donoghue of Old Bushmills Distillery said “The Old Bushmills Distillery is very proud to be the first visitor attraction in Northern Ireland to be graded with this special accolade. We are delighted to work in partnership with the tourism and hospitality industry and we are committed to supporting and investing in the growth of visitor numbers across the region. This award is testament to the sheer determination and dedication from all our employees at Bushmills who work tirelessly to maintain quality of service and provide visitors with a unique experience. “
