Fire crews called to save dog
FIRE crews were called out to rescue a dog from Lurgan Park lake on Saturday morning.
Apparently the Labrador took the water in pursuit of a swan.
A 999 call brought one fire appliance to the scene but in the end they were not needed.
The dog returned to its owner who put it on a lead.
“The dog self-rescued before the arrival of crews, therefore no action was taken,” said a Fire Service spokesman.
The incident was dealt with at 10.54am
