Fined for not having vehicle test certificate

A 45 year old man was fined £90 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for not having a vehicle test certificate for the van he was driving on April 4 this year.

Drew Robert King, Murray Wood, Waringstown, was also fined £75 for having an incorrect form of registration mark on the vehicle.

The court heard the offences came to light when he was stopped while driving on the Lough Road in Lurgan.

The letters on the number plate were lower case rather than upper case and there was no spacing between them.

A solicitor for King said he had been driving for his employer for a number of years. There was now a test certificate for the vehicle.
