Fallen tree blocks road outside Cookstown
A large tree fell on to the road in Sandholes yesterday (Thursday, September 29) sparking a police and council operation to get it removed.
After a call alerting police to the problem, a police statement on Facebook said: “Officers from C Section responded to a call today to the Sandholes Road.
“A large tree had just fallen and was blocking the road.
“By luck no one was hurt and some brilliant guys from Mid Ulster Council were already hard at work with chainsaws getting the tree off the road and the road cleared.”
