The North East Rural Development Programme is organising a week of events celebrating the success of village renewal and basic services projects from Monday 23 to Saturday 28 September.
The programme of events was launched in Cushendun attended by representatives from the North East Rural Development Programme, North Antrim Community Network, Moyle District Council and Cushendun District Development Association.
Speaking at the event Councillor Billy Henry, NER LAG Vice-Chair said; “We are now at a stage where our £13.1 million budget is now fully committed to rural projects. NER has taken an integrated approach, working closely with North Antrim Community Network and the 5 local Councils to help maximise the benefit to local villages and community groups, investing £3.5million in funding along with match funding from our partners.
