Moore Concrete has teamed up with NRC to present the Moore Concrete Cup and Bursary to the best Business Studies Student in Coleraine.
The generous bursary of £300 and the offer of work placements which could potentially lead to employment is a long standing relationship between the college and the company.
This year the Award was presented by Nicola Mowbray from Moore Concrete to Stephen Logue.
A former pupil of Dunluce School, Stephen enrolled on to the BTEC National Business course in September 2012.
Stephen worked solidly and consistently over the two years to achieve straight distinctions, the equivalent of three A grades at ‘A’ level.
His main objective which was to go to university and study Property Management at a higher level.
During the second year of the course Stephen became a volunteer for a Coleraine charity and also entered the Coleraine Test Town competition.
His idea was a health drink smoothie product.
His NRC tutors are very proud of his overall achievement and wish him well in his studies at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, where he is currently studying for a MSCI in Planning and Property Development.
NRC Principal Professor Terri Scott presented the Cup to Stephen.
