Ebrington opening cost £150k with £15k spent on performers

THE total bill for the opening of Ebrington Square on St Valentine’s Day was £150k with £14,580 forked out on performers, £19k on production equipment and £10k on security.

The Office of First and Deputy First Minister revealed the cost of performers - including Bronagh Gallagher, Codetta, Future Chaser, Inishowen Gospel Choir and The Wonder Villains - was £12,150 plus £2,430 in VAT.

It also revealed that ILEX spent £20k on project management, £8,400 on design and print and £3,600 on welcome tea and coffee for the public.

OFMDFM provided the £149,108 expenditure breakdown in response to an Assembly Question from Foyle MLA Pat Ramsey.

Meanwhile, OFMDFM has also revealed that over the past four years 354 contracts have been awarded to local companies by the ILEX regeneration firm.
