Drove after drinks on fishing trip
Gary Stanfield, Charles Baron Gardens, Lurgan, was banned from driving for 12 months last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.
He was also fined £150 and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy for driving with excess alcohol on July 5 this year.

Hide AdThe court heard that he was stopped at a checkpoint at Dunbarton Street in Gilford and there was a smell of alcohol on his breath. An evidential test gave a reading of 52.
A solicitor representing the defendant said he had been away fishing and had taken a few drinks on the way home.
Stanfield was deemed suitable for the drink driving course which if he completes would reduce his ban to nine months.
