DJ lines up with top European spinners

Ballymoney DJ Paddy McAuley lines up alongside some of Europe’s top artists this Saturday as he performs at React’s first birthday party at Heaven nightclub in Cookstown.

The talented spinner, who describes his sound as “euphoric uplifting and driving tech trance”, is playing with BBC Radio 1’s Kutski, hard dance and hardcore maestro Andy Whitby, and German legend Scot Project for the hotly anticipated event, which is set to draw crowds from across Northern Ireland.

Other DJs performing on the night include Ireland’s hardstyle kingpin L.E.D as well as the freshest up and coming talent including Lee Thomas, Seamus Harkin, Lee McClelland, Kevin MaGuire and Dave Allen.

Special React birthday bash lighting and décor, as well as performers and a barbecue, will ensure an end of summer shindig to remember for Paddy and all in attendance.

Paddy explains: “I got into DJing in 2004 when I got my first set of Technics turntables, but it was through my uncle I got into electronic dance music as he had been playing trance and hard dance since the mid-90s.”

Over the past year Paddy has played in venues across the country including Beach and Club Rocks in Belfast, Lush! in Portrush, Gravity in Maghera, The Bridge in Dunloy, and The Elk in Toomebridge.

He also ran his own monthly club event called Tranzform, which was held in Dunloy and Maghera from May 2011 to February 2012, showcasing the very best in Northern Ireland talent including headline performances from the likes of Walsh & McAuley, Sneijder, and Tucandeo.

Now Paddy is looking forward to once again mixing it up with some of the most in-demand DJs in Europe.

“I’m really looking forward to playing at Heaven in Cookstown”, says Paddy.

“It’s a club I used to go clubbing in when I was younger and I was recently down at the Kiddfectious event in the venue in May, which was an amazing night.”

“The atmosphere was electric and there’s no doubt Saturday 1 at React’s first birthday will be no different.”

“My set will have some of the freshest trance out there at the minute and will no doubt be a pumping 140+ style set with plenty of efx and maybe a few classics in there as well.”

Paddy McAuley spins alongside Kutski, Andy Whitby, Scot Project and a host of others at React’s first birthday at Heaven nightclub in Cookstown this Saturday 1 September.
