Gallagher Junior is the ninth person to be sentenced as part of this investigation. Others have yet to stand trial.
The officer leading the investigation, Detective Inspector Tom McClure, said: “We have been investigating the supply of controlled drugs into Northern Ireland for a considerable period of time.
“Seizures have been made in Antrim, Belfast, Larne and Hillsborough amounting to more than £2 million but we believe there is a strong Derry link to this organised crime group’s activities.

“We will continue to investigate those who seek to make money from illegal drugs and we will work to put them before the courts so that they suffer the financial and custodial consequences of their criminal activity.
