Daughter inspires new book of poetry by Carrick author
‘In the Midnight Hour’ is a collection of inspirational poems by Shirley Gault, who lost her daughter Anne to breast cancer just before Christmas last year.
Shirley told the Times: “Writing the poetry helped me cope with the grief, so thought I would share to maybe help others going through similar experiences.
“It is really a dedication to her.”

Shirley, who previously ran the well-known Gaults of Woodburn store, likes to explore her themes through poetry and prose.
Her latest publication also includes a ‘taster’ for new novel ‘Beibhinn’s Quest’.
Due out in 2016, the novel is the sequel to Another Time Another Place, which is still available on Amazon as are her other poetry collections, Reflections and Reflections Two (these are all also available to download on Kindle).
In the Midnight Hour is published by David J Publishing, Moira and retails at £7.99.
