One of Ballymoney’s most famous locations is helping spearhead an initiative reflecting the importance of trees in our lives.

The Dark Hedges feature in the Tree Charter project led by the Woodland Trust with back-up from over 70 organisations.

Over 60,000 stories shared by members of the public are shaping the modern-day charter for trees, woods and people.

Planting for the future and better protection for important trees and woods are just some of the recurring sentiments that will form the Charter themes.
