VANDALS caused damage to the roof of Dalriada School in Ballymoney.

On Wednesday July 27, police received a report of tiles having been removed from the roof and smashed on the ground.

And on Friday July 29 pieces of aluminium were found at the school grounds and tiles had been removed.

A PSNI spokesman said teenagers were believed to have been on the roof during the previous night.

Police say they are keen to secure prosecutions for such behaviour and they are asking the public if they see any suspicious behaviour around schools during the summer months to get in touch on 08456008000 or alternatively on the Crimestoppers number 0800555111.
