Crowds gather for Dixon Park re-opening
The 1 million restoration project, supported by Larne council and the Heritage Lottery Fund, saw the park restored to its former glory, with a majestic new bandstand, grand entrance gates and even a new education centre for local young people.
Hundreds of excited residents gathered for the official opening ceremony at 3.30pm on Friday, and were entertained by 1930s style brass band music and performances by Larne Drama Circle.
