Adjournments in attempted murder case

TWO of the three men accused of the attempted murder of Craigavon man James Lewis have been further remanded in custody.

A third man, Stephen Carragher, aged 20, of Parkmore, Knockmenagh who is also charged with attempted murder and robbing Mr Lewis of his wallet and shoes, had the case against him adjourned until May 2 with a view to varying his bail conditions.

Joseph Thomas Carragher, aged 28, of the same address as Stephen, was remanded in custody to appear via video link at Craigavon Magistrates Court on May 25.

And Dean William Seargeant, aged 21, of Upper Ramone Park, Portadown was also remanded in custody to appear via video link on May 4.

All three are charged with attempted murder and robbery.

Mr Lewis was attacked on December 22. He was found seriously injured near the Rushmere roundabout on the Lake Road at Craigavon.
