Money, phones and documents have been seized and premises in Toome, Bellaghy and Ballymoney searched after a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of several drug offences in the Toome area yesterday (Tuesday, September 6).
He was taken into police custody in the Toomebridge area on suspicion of possessing criminal property, possession of a class C controlled drug, being concerned in the supply of a class C controlled drug and two counts of possession of a class C controlled drug with intent to supply.
Searches were carried out late on Tuesday at a house in the Ballymoney area, a house in the Bellaghy area and a commercial premises in the Toome area.
Some money, mobile phones and documentation were seized.
Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: “The 25-year-old man has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
“Our commitment to tackling the scourge of drugs in the community remains strong and I would ask anyone who has any information about the illegal use and supply of drugs in the area to contact police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
