Coleraine Community Choir formed

She said: “There is still a great interest in music in the Coleraine area.

“In the past there were a number of choirs who gave entertainment and pleasure to the community and the members of this choir hope they they will continue to entertain and support charities.”

The first engagement is ‘An Evening of Sacred Music’ in Ballywillan Presbyterian Church on March 25th at 8pm.

On this occasion, the offering is in aid of St Peter’s Primary School in Gujuranwala, Pakistan. The school provides academic and spiritual education for just over 100 underprivileged Christmas children.

Ron and Hilary McCartney hope to return to Pakistan to continue their good work in September 2012 and will be delighted to see the school up and running.

The choir hope that many people will support this worthy cause on March 25th.
